Since 1920, and through four generations, the Stephen family has owned and operated small businesses in Manchester, N.H. Our founder Chuck Stephen’s community business roots were planted by his great-grandfather who ran the Oriental Restaurant downtown. Chuck grew up in the restaurant business working for his father, Bobby Stephen at the family owned and operated Vault Restaurant (pictured above). After graduating from Trinity High School, Chuck enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He often credits his time in the Marines as the most developmental time in his life, this strengthened his commitment to community and greater good.
After returning to NH and with a growing family, Chuck started his career at Mass Mutual helping friends and family with insurance and investment solutions. While learning the financial industry, he worked towards an Associates Degree in Business Management from New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University). From an early point in his career, Chuck discovered that the most pertinent way to support clients was to establish an independent company. Glenwood was founded in the spirit of making decisions that are in the best interest of the client and their family, without bias from the financial services industry.
In Glenwood Investment Group, Chuck built an independent investment advisory business that did not have bias to certain investment or insurance companies. He could help clients make better financial decisions and provide advice that was catered to their specific needs. Chuck continues the Manchester legacy and has owned and operated Glenwood Investment Group since 1996.
Today, Glenwood has a team of advisors that assist clients with investment management, insurance planning, and financial planning. We truly focus on building a lifelong relationship with clients, in order to provide the best financial advice possible. Glenwood proudly serves as a fiduciary and always considers the client's best interest when providing financial advice to help achieve financial goals.
